Congratulations to Luke, James, Antonia and Alex R who entered in todays district Brockhouse Shield competition at pikes pool. Brockhouse is a scouting skills competition and is run over a day with 10 plus scouting and fun bases which included, compass, mapping, first aid, boules, archery, initiative testing and tents.

The team did the pack extremely proud finishing first out of 10 packs. Their behaviour, attitude and politeness was commented on and they should all be very proud i know i am.

Thank you to Brian for teaching them the necessary skills the cubs and their parents to.

County Camp – Live the Magic 2009 – WOW what a camp July 5, 2009

Well County camp is over for yet another year. Wow this one was above all the best ever.

We started the weekend well, parents not having to wait long in traffic before entering the camp. with nearing 3000 campers arriving around the same time along one road was going to be challenging. But it wasnt as first feared. Well done County team for your super efforts.

The cubs were given passes to entertain them selves for the weekend, we couldn’t take part in all events because of shear numbers so events were chosen at random.

Cubs took part in – circus skills, football, water slide, black hole, go karts, crate staking, team building, water bombs, bouncy castles, crystal maze and a number of others. I think they enjoyed themselves immensely. I know they didnt sleep much nor the leaders 3.30am bed – 5.30am wake up – i need some sleep i know.

All st davids cubs were brilliantly behaved throughout the weekend, some tears but this was due to very tired cub scouts.

We now have to wait another 4 years till the next one – i cant wait

check out the cub photos in our online album

thank you parents for your support with this event.
