Posted by akela in : Cubs , comments closedWell done to both the chess and draughts teams who played today in the District cub chess and draughts competitions.
Chess – Luke K, Harry B, James W, Ben Wi
Draughts – Antonia, Daniel P, Danny B, Brett M
Both teams played extremely well in all their games they had to play The chess team finishing in 6th place and the Draughts team finishing in 3rd place out of 14 packs.
Quinton and Ariel were the overall winners in the competitions so congratulations to those.

Posted by akela in : Cubs , comments closedFor the first time in many years the leaders have decided it would be fun for the cubs to make pancakes as well as decorate their own chocolate eggs at Cubs on Tuesday night.
Cubs were reminded before half term to bring an apron, i wonder how many will bring one?
We will put some photos on the site of some of the cubs designing and decorating their pancakes / eggs.

Loz your snowman looks very happy - or is he sad as all the snow is now melting away ;-( I think we may have some more snow on sunday !!!!!

Keep the photos coming, even if you havent built one yet there is the weekend. And if you cant get a photo of the snowman then tell me about it instead. You will still get your points as you have tried i know you all had fun anyway
Antonia and her brother had been busy – and i hope the neighbours were kind to him and didnt knock him over
Bradley you and your sister look to have had fun, how tall is your snowman he can see over the hedge- did you have to sit on your dads shoulders to put the head on

Lily and i presume Tom, Daisy and mum and dad made a police snowman ( think the snowman needs to melt to fit in the jacket) and also had fun sledging!!!!! Liz i hear you managed to get a snowball thrown at you – whoopppppsssssss – good shot lil
Cubs are still loving the snow – but a few parents aren’t!

We still don’t know if schools are back Friday we wait and see i know the kids dont want to go back but i think there are a few parents who do

Alex seems to have made a HUGE snowman – did he get any help with putting the head on it? And i bet youd love to camp out in your igloo – maybe if it was warmer but then again if it was we wouldn’t have the snow ;-) well done

Posted by akela in : Cubs , comments closedWell the cubs have had another day off today for snow. We have had a few inches over night – i know i have only been to school this week once we wait and see what brings tomorrow.
Akela has made a snowman so lets see some of yours – if you dont have the facilities to out your picture in an email to me send a mobile phone picture and i will put it on here for you.
Lets see how many cubs can make a cub snowman!!! 5 points for every cub who does.
