Today was said to be one of the hottest days of the year. Great for an evening walk along the canals of Worcs.

Yeah right!!!!!! We set off from Hopwood and immediately walked into torrential rain shower. After covering under trees we continued up the tow path – to the biggest smelliest mud hole you can think of. yes on the hottest day there was mud!!!

The cubs were asked to walk round it – did they? NO! straight through the middle. There were leaders worrying about them falling in the canal there was me thinking what are the parents going to say about the mud.

We had only walked 200 yards and they had mud up their legs rain dripping off their uniforms – yes cubs came well prepared as usual – NO COATS.

Well we had a walk and cubs chatted amongst themselves got stung by nettles on the way. But we all had fun.

British weather you cant beat it can you?
