Wet Scout Camp May 26, 2008

St David’s Scout Troop ventured off to Brecon for their annual Scout Camp on Saturday.

They had a nice day to put their tents up on Saturday and the rain hasn’t stopped since their arrival.

However the rain hasn’t stopped them continuing their program and they have started their camp gadgets, building their fires, collecting loads of wood.

They went off site today and took part in a high ropes course, similar to the high ropes at Blackwell court. In the wind and rain a number of the scouts reached the top so well done to them.

This evening they have been entertaining themselves with a BOAT RACE – donÂ’t ask me if its in the water or on land (but still in the water) but from what i heard there was plenty of excitement going on.

The rest of the week looks like it will hopefully become warmer and brighter and they look forward to going to the beach on Thursday as well as a hike and yes more wood collecting for their fires.
