Flour Babies January 22, 2008
Posted by akela in : Cubs , trackbackCubs this evening began working towards the new Community Award. And part of this is to look after a pet for so many weeks.
Unfortunately some cubs dont have pets they can look after so Limmershin (Amy) introduced them all to a FLOUR BABY.
They have had to decorate their baby, give it a face, and give it a name. With it they have all had a birth record card and weekly planner.
All the babies were weighed and their names were recorded.
The aim is for the cubs to look after this ‘baby’ for a week with out causing it any damage.
They will all be weighed next week - to see if they have lost weight or gained weight - by damage or getting wet.
We will see who was a good daddy or mummy to their baby.
No dont panic we didn’t say they had to take them to school!!!!!!!!
If you had seen how they carried them so carefully out the hall tonight and how they talked to them, it would have made you smile.
We just hope no parents use the flour !
