Scout Jamboree 2007 July 21, 2007
Posted by akela in : Cubs , trackbackTogether with 2 other st davids leaders i was pleased to attend the Valediction service at Birmingham Cathedral today.
The service celebrated 100 years of scouting, the world – wide family of scouting and for peace and freindship at the jamboree.
Timmy and Guy who are representing not just St Davids, The District and County of Birmingham were in attendance and we all passed on our best
wishes to them both.
We wish them good luck for the next few weeks which will see them meet many thousands of new young people from almost every country in the world, and experience something only a small handfull of leaders can say they have done.
We hope to meet up with them when the cubs visit the jamboree on 30th July.
I promise it will be an expereince they will NEVER forget, they are our future leaders and their expereinces will live with them forever throughout their scouting lives.
