14 scouts and leaders are spending the Whitsun Holidays away at Scout Camp.

They left on Saturday 26th and return on Saturday 2nd June.

They are camping in Bala – Wales. On a local farm “Maesafallen” where they will spend the week working towards new scout activity badges and learning new skills and experiences.

The scouts have so far being having an enjoyable time, even with some days being very wet. Spirits are high and they now look forward to hikes as well as onsite pioneering projects and competitions. They have already built their own fires, cut their own wood and cooked their own breakfasts.

I know later in the week they will hopefully be spending a day in the life of Baden Powell 100 years ago and experiencing what he would have cooked and taught to the boy scouts on camp on Brownsea Island.

I really do hope the weather is kind to them on Thursday when the weeks highlight of the seaside visit takes place.

I can’t wait for a report of what fun they all had on their return. And hopefully some photos.
