Gez I’m In the Army Now ! October 28, 2006

Posted by akela in : Cubs , comments closed

hey everyone… this is a short email because until two weeks I shouldn’t be allowed on computer, but I used a reason to get my self on it..

The army is fine, its hard at times, fun at time,,, but mostly is a load of ironing, polishing, and doing what im told, but im dealing with that. Made some good mates, they sometimes call me dad, because I look after them at times. One thing Im asking you is if you feel the need to write a letter, you would be surprised how magic, after a long day, a letter is to me.. Im getting some from my mom, and it makes me smile and gets me through the next time I have to run for 40 mins, and do press ups and well the rest they give us… Not to make you think im having it to hard, but at times your smile slightly goes as there is only so much one can take..

HI DI HI!!!

Just a quick hi from oz, and my i think last email of my trip. As im off to Hong Kong 2mo, and with the amount of eating im looking at doing ill have no time to email. PLus it takes time, and my trip is all about me.

Well just to let you know whats been going down. I had a wicked wicked time,, from Fiji, NZ , and now Oz. It has really been amazing from the first step of the plane in Oz to this very last night. I cant remember when i last emailed so ill give you a low down.

MELB.. A really nice city, and very nice people, i stayed with my friend liz and her family. I got to see the city, and go see Neighbours, i know that makes me a sad POM, but oh well. Lots of other things, nights out, sight seeing….

ALICE SPRINGS. After the city i went all the way to the Northish, and did the outback. I went on a 3 day trip to Aryes Rock, and Kings Canyon. Very nice, slept under the stars in a swag, walked aaroudn in  35c heat, and just enjoyed what the was to see. And its pretty muhc bush, and sand……. and a big rock.. But it really is amazing. HOwever i lost pretty much everything.. Well most my clothes, my diary, and DVD of photos, so have a lot less to show YOU ALL!!!!!

SYDNEY.. This is were it asll started, i got picked up by my good friend FAR. and the fun started, saw his rock band, and enjoyed a bit of Oz man.. THat is in the photo, walking in his dad bakc yard. Went up to Newcastel to see more mates, and then headed for the city. There istayed with a friend from Brum, i did the whole sight seeing, the Opera house, the brigde, fun to climb but costly. Lots to see there, and a good time. Even meet a load of scouters, very good. Next was off to the Country with my friends again, and place called Baradine… It was a drive away but very fun. I drove for 70 kms, dont tell my mom. When we got there, there was the annual ball. So i had to steal a suit and i looked the part. It was an interesting night, not like id seen before, Bring your own food and drink, and everyone had there coolers.. The next day i played on my mates Sam farm. Chasing Emus, Kangs, and even saw a pig get killed by his dog.. It was a really fun and interesting day. Im still praying for forgivness.

Finally i left Sydney for brisband after 10 amazing days.

BRIS… ONly here for 4 days, i spent a lot of time walkign round and seeing this and that. I did spend a night in Surfers Paradise, very nice, though like any holiday place. Did learn/ try to learn how to surf. I was then dropped off back in Bris, where i went to a concert, first for ages. and now im here in a internet room, counting the mins until i go to Hong kong and then HOME!!
