Night Hike November 22, 2005

Well the plan was to star gaze tonight, unfortunatly it was cloudy but not as foggy as the previous night; we could at least see each other.
The hike was very muddy but this just spurred the cubs on. Once again thanks to the parents who helped transport the cubs. PHOTOS OF THE HIKE ARE NOW IN THE ALBUM
Dont forget bag packing on Sunday.

Dear Parent,

Next Tuesday we yet again will be venturing outdoors for our evenings activity. We will be taking the cubs to Waseley Country Park to view the city by night and star gazing. We will meet in the church hall at 6.00pm for a prompt departure and return approximately 8.00pm.

At present we are awaiting confirmation from Waseley Parks that we can use their facilities so please be prepared that this may not take place. Also the activity can only be done if Dry.

Fire Station / Community Craft Project

Well once again it looks like that all the cubs have enjoyed themselves at the fire station and kite making.
The photos are great of the cubs playing with the hoses.
Next week we are out on our travels yet again. So coats, waterproofs and wellies are essential.

Church Parade November 9, 2005

Sunday 13th November Remembrance parade service, 10.15am all cubs in full smart uniform please. There will be a minutes silence which i hope all cubs will adhere to.
Any more cubs wishing to do badge day, let me know ASAP

Fire Station / Community Craft Project

Well it looks like everyone had fun at the fire station on Tuesday night, even if it was wet and cold. It didn’t look like it spoilt any fun and games with the hose.
Cubs that stayed in the hall had fun making kites and flying them unfortunately it had to be inside.
Don’t forget both groups swap next week, those that were in the hall tonight are at the Fire Station and vice versa.
If your son didn’t pay subs this evening please pay double next week.
Thanks to all the parents and Barb Group Scout Leader for standing in at such short notice.
Hope you all enjoyed your goodie bags. Hope the cubs said thank you
